Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, company, email address, telephone number, enquiry type, message and the page from which you contacted us.

Our website and hosting providers may also process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as an IP address, browser information and request logs.

How we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand your requirement, prepare a quotation where requested, keep a record of our communications and take steps towards providing products or services.

We rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and maintaining appropriate business records. We use information to comply with legal obligations where applicable.

Who processes your information

Website enquiries are submitted through Google Apps Script and delivered to our Google Workspace mailbox. Our website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Google, OpenAI and their infrastructure providers process information only as needed to provide those services and subject to their own service safeguards.

We may also share relevant information with professional advisers, delivery providers, suppliers or public authorities when this is necessary for your enquiry, an order, or a legal obligation. We do not sell personal information.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires it, the relevant provider or DACS Labs will use an approved safeguard for that transfer.

How long we keep information

We keep general enquiry correspondence for up to two years after our last contact, unless it becomes part of an order, contract, legal claim or other record that must be kept for longer. Financial and transaction records are normally retained for the period required by UK tax and company law.

Cookies and analytics

DACS Labs does not currently use advertising cookies or website analytics on this site. The hosting service may use essential technologies needed to operate and secure the website.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict its use, or object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
